Privzr is built around a simple principle: your inbox belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what we do, what we do not do, and the very limited third-party services we rely on.
1. 100% Local Browser-Based Scanning
All inbox scanning, sender detection, and hitlist generation runs entirely inside your browser via the Privzr Chrome Extension. No email content, headers, attachments, or inbox metadata are ever transmitted to Privzr servers or any third party. Scanning happens on-device, in memory, and results stay on your machine.
2. Strict Separation of Local Inbox Data
Inbox data accessed by the extension never leaves your browser context. We do not store, log, sync, or back up any messages, subjects, sender addresses, or content. The extension uses chrome.storage.local only for your language and app preferences — never for personal email data.
3. Google OAuth — Basic Profile Only
If you choose to sign in with Google, we request only the basic profile scopes (your name, email address, and avatar) to create your Privzr account. We do not request, receive, or store any Gmail content scopes. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
4. Stripe Payment Integration
Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure interface and are never seen, transmitted, or stored by Privzr. We only receive a subscription status flag and a customer reference from Stripe to unlock premium features.
5. What We Store on Our Servers
The minimum required to operate your account: your email address, language preference, subscription status, and the count of unsubscribe / erasure requests you have generated. We do not store the contents of those requests, nor the companies they target.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your account data at any time. Contact privacy@privzr.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also withdraw consent or close your account directly from the dashboard.
